EDUCATION WITH CHRISTIAN VALUES
The goals of the preschool are to provide a play environment and place for hands-on experience that will allow the child to make a successful adjustment to life outside the home, learn to be with other children, become familiar with a group setting, develop an interest and joy in learning, develop self- expression, self control, creativity, and responsibility in a safe environment
Our most important goal is to provide these experiences in a Christian atmosphere as in accordance with the scripture, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.
Therefore Christian values such as, kindness, faith, joy, sharing, love, honesty, and more are taught as the foundation of our program. The Christian love and nurture of our dedicated and well qualified staff provide this daily atmosphere to accomplish these ends.
OUR APPROACH TO TEACHING
At NCP, we value learning through play. We believe play fosters fantasy, imagination, and creativity. Play allows for children to explore their environment and learn at their own pace. We believe play is a critical building block for developing the mental tools required for success in higher level learning, and, just as importantly, for developing communication skills and learning to build relationships with other children.
Art is a very important element in our program. Through art, your child is able to experience and learn things that will be beneficial as he/ she continues to grow. We believe that the process is far more important than the product. Our focus is on giving the child the opportunity to develop their creativity.
